Faram Organza Two-piece Suit
Adapted from Look 8 of Nicol & Ford’s THORN runway for Australian Fashion Week 2024, this figure-hugging two-piece suit in silk organza is designed for the daring. With a broad “portrait” neckline and shawl collar, the wrap jacket ties through a hole in the side-seam, coming to an organza bow at the rear or side. Numerous shaped seams across the back of the jacket create bold lines down the body. Fitted pegged trousers compliment the jacket, with both pieces edged in contrasting silk satin bias.

Holly Anna Faram (1912-1983) was the wife and muse of kink pioneer John Willie, who published Bizarre Magazine from 1946 to 1956. Circulated internationally, photographs of Faram in BDSM-appropriated office wear might well have fallen into the hands of the daring Rosaleen Norton.
